Tickets

Please read the explanation of our mission and ticket structure below before purchasing tickets.
Where does the money go?
Horizons is a non-profit community event. Its board members, planners and most production staff are volunteers. Ticket sales are its sole source of revenue. Horizons is not a fundraiser. Our goal is simply to share knowledge and break even.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets are available at three prices, on the honor system. All tickets include three days of programming.
If you are able to, please purchase a $100 ticket. This is less expensive than most academic conferences, and makes the conference sustainable. If you are not in a position to spend $100 for the weekend, please purchase a $60 ticket.
Is there a discount for students or those in difficult circumstances?
If you are a student, or facing financial hardship, a limited number of $40 subsidized conference passes are available. Please only purchase these if you can only afford $12 per day. Alternatively, you may volunteer in exchange for admission.
Will walk-in tickets be available at the conference?
If attending Horizons is important to you, purchase advance tickets. If the event is not sold out, walk-in tickets will be available at increased prices during the conference. Check the website for updates on Friday 9/24.
What is your privacy policy?
Your personal information will be kept stricly confidential and never shared or sold. If you have privacy concerns, please contact us us about purchasing a cash ticket at the event.
